Techcrunch Versus Rocketboom Ad Revenue

I would like to use Techcrunch versus Rocketboom as a way to track the actual and potential ad revenue of text versus video blogs.
I believe that Techcrunch is (or soon will be) earning $6k from Google Ads and $40k from sponsored ads per month. [source]
I believe that Rocketboom is (or soon will be) earning $340k per month from advertising. [source]
I would appreciate any feedback on these estimates. Does anyone have any guesses on the ad revenue of Boing Boing or other blogs (video or text)? Does anyone have any links to studies on this topic? Thanks for any help.

Here Damon Darlin was speculating that Boing Boing was pulling in $40k per month [source]. However, John Battelle of Federate Media Publishing said that it was inflated and that FM does not discuss finances.
