Here, let’s compare numbers. I’m supposedly an “A list blogger” and last week I had more than my fair share of good PR (way more, actually). I only saw about 200,000 new people last week and my average daily numbers are settling down again to about 20,000 daily readers, plus 29,000 RSS subscribers. [source]
I wonder how much money this would generate for him if he placed Google AdSense on his blog? Please let me know what you think he would earn from this.
I am very interested to know how much individual podcasters and bloggers are earning in ad revenue. I recall Michael Arrington telling Steve Gillmor that he was making $200 per day in Google AdSense on TechCrunch. His four sponsor spots were going for $7,500 per month but he recently raised this to $10k. [source]
I recall hearing that KCRW’s Lexus contract was about $100k for six months of placement. Almost a year ago at the Podcast and Portable Media Expo, Michael Geoghegan said that his GrapeRadio podcast was earning $1000 per episode in sponsorships.
I wonder how much Steve Gillmor gets for his Earthlink or Go Daddy ads … and how much PodShow gets for placing these ads in his podcast.
If you have any tips along these lines please post them here.
